Wikimedia CH/Micro Grant/Wiki loves sport in Persian Wikipedia

Planned activity: We will conduct Wiki Loves Sport 2024 on Persian Wikipedia (Local page), focusing on sports-related content about minorities (women, LGBT+ individuals, and underrepresented groups). The contest aims to increase the quality and quantity of such articles. This micro-grant will support promotion and prizes. The activity will include a promotional campaign, article evaluation, and awarding prizes to the best contributions from at least 6 participants.

People involved
(e.g. How many people can benefit from the micro grant you request): Based on previous article writing contests on Persian Wikipedia, we expect more than 30 participants and over 150 articles to be created. We will distribute prizes among at least 6 winners.

Please explain what influence your activity will have on Wikimedia Projects
(e.g. quantitative: number of new pictures uploaded to commons, no of new articles created / qualitative: strengthen the community of german-speaking wikipedia authors etc,): This activity will add over 150 new or improved articles to Persian Wikipedia, focusing on minorities in sports. It will involve more than 30 contributors, increase community engagement, and help make the content more inclusive and diverse.
