How did you attend Wikimania (virtually or in-person)?

I attended in person event that took place in Kampala as well as  virtually via the pheedloop both on phone and on PC, Also pin some of the mast watch / attend event where I watched  through YouTube

What did you spend the scholarship funds on?

I purchased data bundles so that I attend all the session, I also managed get small desktop speak for audio ability

Takeaways – choose 3 specific Wikimania sessions you attended and describe your key take-aways per session.

1.      Digital Security Basics Presenter - Konstantin Urbanec: After Attending the session I realized how important to have most secure password should not be rotating around my personal life. The most secured password should be case sensitive, (with upper and low case latter’s) together with number.

2.      Future of Wikimania: Since Wikipedia is a multilingual free online encyclopedia written and maintained by a community of volunteers through open collaboration and a wiki-based editing system and its purpose to benefit readers by acting as a widely accessible and free encyclopedia that contains information on all branches of knowledge am so looking forward to be part of future Wikimania ambassador to my neighborhood

3.      Announcement of Wikimedians of the year by Jimmy Wales and Mehrdad Pourzakikhani.I loved the way people achievement was acknowledged and hoping to be the next in line in years to come to be celebrated for my contribution to this world of free encyclopedia.

4. Copyright and the Wikis roundtable: know your rights when using copyrighted material for the public good. Good notes to take from Douglas Scott and Sean Flynn so that one does not fall into the arms of the law for breaking the law because of lack of knowledge

How did you connect with other people during Wikimania 2022? How did you celebrate at Wikimania 2022?

The in person even that took place in Kampala unable us met in person people we used to meet online since pandemic took center stage. During the event, kahoot quiz was fun as well as taught us so much about Wikimedia and more so fun that was in plenty
