Reporting[edit]
As is usual for Grant Programs of the Wikimedia Foundation Grant programs, Wikimania Scholarship recipients are asked to report on their participation at Wikimania after the event has come to an end.
This brief report is due on 31 August 2022 (if you need an extension, please request it in advance by emailing wikiuganda
gmail.com).
Please share and elaborate on your experiences as a blog post. You can craft it here in Meta-Wiki – on this very page.
The blog post should answer the following questions:
- How did you attend Wikimania (virtually or in-person)?
- What did you spend the scholarship funds on?
- Takeaways: Choose 3 specific Wikimania sessions you attended and describe your key take-aways per session.
- How did you connect with other people during Wikimania 2022? How did you celebrate at Wikimania 2022?
Complementary to this, you are encouraged to create a social media post highlighting your Wikimania experience and include these as part of your report! (optional). The purpose of this is to spread the love around Wikimania 2022 and encourage newcomers to join Wikimania next year. If you choose to do so, the content of it should reflect the answer to the following question:
- How did you connect with other people during Wikimania 2022? How did you celebrate at Wikimania 2022?
Once you created the report on Meta-Wiki, please submit it by sending the link to the Wikimania team at wikiugandagmail.org
Failure to submit a report on time could negatively affect your ability to get future funding from a Wikimania Foundation Grant Program.
