2021-02-04 Discussion at German-speaking Wikipedia (Kurier)[edit]

Original version

Three members of the German community, regulars of discussions on meta, expressed their mistrust in processes as the Call for Feedback. Participating is read as meaningless, as the board finally would make a decision unrelated to the process anyway. This assessment was founded on former experiences as the removal of board member James Heilman in 2015, the still unsolved branding debate, and the recent approval of the UCoC, which has been experienced as a premature takeover by the board. A single contributor slightly opposed, reminding the final failure of Heilman's removal and stating the present board “not to be bad”, it would contain some “real Wikipedians” and summarized, it is not about the process of selection but to intervene permanently as community members.
