Quorum[edit]
- Initially quorum was not met (Coenraad arrived late) and due to Dumi and Bobby's last minute difficulties in attending, it was decided to move the meeting to the same time next week. We continued with an informal discussion.
Afrikaans stats[edit]
- Stats are stuck, Ian to look into why, contact WMF
Montreal[edit]
- Douglas gave feedback on Wikimania in Montreal, including the difficulties in obtaining visas (of 20 awarded African scholarships, only 2 got visas) and the difficulties in the French chapter.
South African language Wikipedias[edit]
- Coenraad involved in expanding internet access across the country and has the opportunity to identify South African language champions.
- Discussed need for welcoming new users to the communities, assistance of bots.
- There's an Afrikaan Facebook group, Ian will add link to website front page.
