WikiArabia Monastir[edit]

WikiArabia is a 50+ person conference that took place on 3rd, 4th ,5th April 2015 in Monastir. It's the first regional event of the Wikimedia movement in the Arabic countries. Please refer to the conference page on meta and the article of wikimedia blog for more details.

Wiki Loves[edit]

The Wikimedia TN User Group co-organized during the year 2015, three photographic contest ( wiki loves Earth, wiki loves Monuments and wiki loves Africa )

Wiki Loves Earth[edit]

For the first time in Tunisia wikimedia TN user group in association with JCI ENIT and C libre organizes wiki loves Earth, during this competition the group organized a lot of events:

  • presentation of wiki loves earth :May 2, 2015
  • 3 photos walks:
    • May 9, 2015 National Park of Ichkeul
    • May 23, 2015 National Park of Jebel Chitana-Cap Négro
    • June 7, 2015 Dams
  • Prize distribution ceremony

In the end of the event more than 2500 photos was uploaded

Wiki Loves Monument[edit]

for the third time wikimedia Tn user group in association with Carthagina organizes wiki loves Monuments, In the end of the event more than 2300 photos was uploaded a photos walk was organised with the participation of more than 20 photographs

Wiki Loves Africa[edit]

As part of the contest wiki loves africa 2015 3 events was organised in Tunisia ::

Al-Rachidia is one of the oldest music institutes in Tunisia and the Arab World. In May, the institute celebrated its 80th anniversary in a large event that lasted for 11 days between May 21 and 31. Celebration included musical events, social events and a Wikipedia editathon! Wikimedia TN User Group collaborated with Carthagina, an NGO that aims to keeping history, on organizing this event. wiki-DS is a workshop on editing Wikipedia organized on 4 January 2015 in collaboration with an association that aims to increase the intellectual potential of children. Fifteen children benefited from this workshop. They were able to create accounts and learn to edit in the free encyclopedia.

Discover Wikipedia[edit]

The workshop held on February, 13th 2015 in L’Institut Supérieur d’Informatique et de Multimédia de Sfax (ISIMS). It aims to let students and university teachers know about wikipedia and how it could be used for the education. The workshop shows also how to edit on the free encyclopedia. Workshop Wikipedia[edit]

Workshop at the amphitheatre of the Higher Institute of Technological Studies of Ksar Hellal on 27 May 2015. The program of the workshop included an introduction to Wiki [p] media and Wikipedia Education Program, presentation of the Contest Wiki Loves Earth Tunisia, and Edit a thon Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons.
