The Wikimedia Youth Conference 2024 will take place in Alacant/Alicante, Land of Valencia, TBA.
This conference is a platform for shared experience from youth in the space of Wikimedia.
The conference welcomes young wikimedians as well as passionate youth advocate leaders in Wikimedia and mission aligned organizations. In order to facilitate meaningful participation from a diverse set of Wikimedia and youth leaders worldwide, all interested prospective attendees will be required to apply for a spot for attendance. The application will be open soon; applicants will be notified of their status after the application has been reviewed by the scholarship Committee. We welcome participation from two groups:
- Travel scholarships: If you will need a travel scholarship to attend, we have funding available to pay for hotel accommodation and flights for scholarship recipients. We will be offering both full and partial scholarships. We expect to have over 60 slots available for this group.
- Local participants: We will hold a handful of additional spots for participants from Spain, our host country.
The conference is organized by the The WikiVibrance Project, in collaboration with host organizations and partners Wikimedia España and Institut Valencià de la Joventut. Funding has been asked to the Wikimedia Foundation.
