Wikimedians of Colorado User Group/wmsummit-2020/candidates

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

This year, Colorado is allowed to send one delegate to the Wikimedia Summit as noted at (Wikimedia Summit 2020/Eligibility Criteria.

The summit is again essentially about movement strategy, focusing this year on implementation. Who wants to discuss some strategy, and help the world?!

How to select the delegates

To ensure that we use the in-person time as best as possible, we ask Affiliates to only send delegates who will come with a good understanding of the movement strategy process and the draft recommendations, and are ready to take agency and responsibility to design and implement the recommendations in collaboration with every part of the Movement and our partners.

Comments[edit]

If anyone wants to add anything we should probably be addressing as well, or other comments.

  • Making a note here that I am opposed to Abhay representing the group on this. I recommended on-list that we send Neal instead, as he did indicate he would like to go as well, and has a strong history of following through on his commitments. Please consider this a vote, one way or the other. -— Isarra 20:26, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • I support Abhay representing the group once again, and appreciate his contributions to the Colorado group, and wide perspective and deep experience with multiple Wikipedias and challenges in India and elsewhere, which can help inform the Wikimedia strategy and bridge the information gaps we face in the world. ★NealMcB★ (talk) 16:31, 17 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
