Open Data Day is an annual event celebrated worldwide to promote and raise awareness about the benefits of Open Data. Open data and Wikidata are closely related as Wikidata is a free and open knowledge base that provides structured data that is available under an open license.
A full-day hands-on workshop about Wikidata and the importance of structured open data is organized at Government College Kasaragod to promote and raise awareness about the benefits of Open Data. Wikimedians of Kerala User Group and Sahya Digital Conservation Foundation (OpenDataKerala Project) members will lead the workshop.
