Wikimedians of Latvia User Group/2020
This is a report for activities performed by Wikimedians of Latvia User Group in 2020.
COVID-19 pandemic affected most of the year.
Wikipedian meetings[edit]
- During the year no meetings involving local and visiting wikimedians were arranged.
- A single video call was arranged, but there was no continuation to that.
- A photo-expedition took place in September to document major railway infrastructure construction sites.
Outreach events[edit]
With COVID-19 restricions in Latvia no outreach activities were performed.
Work was started to enable Growth team features in Latvian Wikipedia.

- Article contests
- Wikipedia cleanup contest
- CEE Spring 2020 article contest. Mārtiņš Bruņenieks was involved in organizing the contest also on international level.
- Belarus solidarity weeks
- Asian month 2020
- Photo contests
Grants[edit]
Participation in regional and global Wikimedia events[edit]
No physical regional or global events took place.
Several members of the group attended online conference Wikimedia CEE Online Meeting 2020 and some of the following CEE Talks calls.
Organizational[edit]
No significant changes were made to organiztional practices.
Social networks[edit]
These social networks were maintained.
