Cultural Heritage Mapping as per List of Monuments of National Importance in Punjab, India-July 2020 is an event organised by Harvinder Chandigarh , the founder member of the User Group Wikimedians of North India to cover the Monuments of National Importance officially recognized by and available through the website of the Archaeological Survey of India in the Indian state Punjab.

Proposal and objectives[edit]

  • To digitally document and preserve Cultural Heritage of Punjab by uploading images on Wikipedia Commons.
  • uploading photographs of the Monuments in the list which presently lack it .
  • uploading better quality photographs of monuments which presently have poor quality photographs.
  • To strengthen the Wikipedia , the free knowledge movement, in Punjab by involving armature photographers and new / old Wikipedians .
  • To create new content on Wikipedia.
  • To enrich the existing content on Wikipedia by adding relevant images to it .
  • To create awareness about Wikipedia in the the local community.
