This license could become one of the options in the Wikinews Licensure Poll.

This Wikinews Copyright License is intended to be used between the authors contributing to Wikinews and the users of Wikinews content.

© 2004-2005, Wikinews.

Redistribution, performance and use in any media, with or without modification, are permitted provided that credit is given to Wikinews. Wikinews maintains a history of contributors to each content item produced by the project — these contributors are each content item's joint copyright holders.

Under this license, the copyright holders grant licensors the right to give credit to them using the name Wikinews, without enumerating individual contributors for a content item. The copyright holders continue to retain the individual copyrights and moral rights in the work.

Wikinews is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation, which grants Wikinews contributors the right to use its trademark in a manner described by this license.
