Personal info: Hello, this is my first steward confirmation. When I applied for stewardship last year, I had big plans. Unfortunately, as was the case for many of us, the year didn't play out like I hoped. The pandemic and political climate severely inhibited my productivity, both on and off the wiki. Instead of working on the spambot problem, writing technical tools for stewards, and becoming a regular at SR, my activity has chiefly been in reaction to automation I use, rather than me seeking work to do. That said, I still like to think I've done some good work, and I am feeling much more confident about 2021.
I'd like to point for anyone reviewing Special:Log/MusikAnimal that given the nature of my steward work in 2020, many or perhaps most of my actions are not publicly visible. For those with the requisite rights, there's more to be seen in the suppression log.
As for things that could have gone better, I made a terrifying mistake on English Wikipedia where I accidentally imported revisions to a few very high-risk templates, but amazingly nothing actually broke. In response I have banned myself from using the Special:Import interface on English Wikipedia. The only other mishap to my knowledge was a simple newbie mistake that also didn't seem to do much harm, so overall I'm content with how I've adjusted to the toolset, though I think I still have plenty to learn.
Disclaimer: I am an engineer on WMF's Community Tech team. As noted in my statement last year, I have not experienced nor foresee any negative crossover with these roles given my focus as a steward is routine, uncontroversial counter-vandalism and maintenance.

Información personal: Hola, esta es mi primera confirmación de steward. Cuando solicité ser un steward el año pasado, tenía grandes planes. Desafortunadamente, como fue el caso de muchos de nosotros, el año no resultó como esperaba. La pandemia y el clima político inhibieron severamente mi productividad, tanto dentro y fuera de la wiki. En lugar de trabajar en el problema de los bots de spam, escribir herramientas técnicas para los stewards y convertirme en un habitual en SR, mi actividad ha sido principalmente una reacción a la automatización que utilizo, en lugar de buscar trabajo por hacer. Dicho esto, todavía me gusta pensar que he hecho un buen trabajo y me siento mucho más confiado en 2021.

El único otro percance que yo sepa fue un simple error de novato que tampoco pareció hacer mucho daño, así que en general estoy contento con cómo me he adaptado el conjunto de herramientas, aunque creo que todavía tengo mucho que aprender.

Como se señaló en mi declaración del año pasado, no he experimentado ni preveo ningún cruce negativo con estos roles dado que mi enfoque como un steward es el mantenimiento y el contravandalismo de rutina y sin controversias.

Személyes információk: Sziasztok! Ez az első tisztújításom. Tavaly nagy elképzeléseim voltak, amikor megpályáztam az intézőséget. Sajnos, mint sokunknak, ez az év nekem nem úgy jött ki, ahogy azt reméltem. A járvány és a politikai helyzet jelentősen visszavetette a teljesítményem, mind a wikin, mind azon kívül. A munkámat az elfoglaltságok aktív keresése helyett a megszokás és az automatizmus határozta meg, ahelyett hogy a spambot-problémán, az intézői segédeszközökön vagy az intézői kéréseken dolgoztam volna. Ezzel együtt is úgy gondolom, hogy jó munkát végeztem, és magabiztosabban tekintek 2021-re.
Azoknak, akik esetleg a naplóban néznének utána annak, hogy mit csináltam: a 2020-as intézői munkám jellege miatt a legtöbb szerkesztésem nem látható nyilvánosan. Akik rendelkeznek a megfelelő jogokkal, az adatvédelmi műveletek naplójában többet láthatnak.
Vannak dolgok, amiket jobban is csinálhattam volna – például csináltam egy elég bizarr hibát an angol Wikipédián, amikor tévedésből beleimportáltam néhány különösen fontos sablonba, de csodák csodájára ennek nem lett semmilyen kihatása. Hogy ezt elkerüljem ezentúl, inkább letiltottam magam az importálásról az angol wikin. Összességében úgy gondolom, hogy az eszköztárat megszoktam, de még mindig van mit tanulnom.

Ahogy a tavalyi választáson megjegyeztem, nem látom és az elmúlt évben nem is tapasztaltam, hogy ez a két pozíció összeférhetetlen lenne, főleg mivel intézőként elsősorban egyértelmű, rutin feladatokat végzek: karbantartást és vandálszűrést.
Remélem, hogy az elvárhatónál (legalábbis a saját mércém szerint) alacsonyabb aktivitásom ellenére jó munkát végeztem, és előrébb vittem a projektet.
