There is actually no written policy against that, because when we discussed about that it was decided that would be better to solve it in mediawiki code than with a policy, so conclusion was that we usually kindly ask global rollbackers to stay out of our project if they are also regular users on our project for obvious reasons, and also all global rollbackers as admins of hr wiki who revert vandals sometimes like not only to revert, but also block the vandal IP in question or cross check other Wikimedia projects (something like global rollbackers already do, but with additional admin or CU tools it is more efficient this way). Hello and thank you for your various interventions against vandals on en.wikibooks recently. In case you notice that I've changed your local permissions there I'd thought I'd explain what I've done. We use the FlaggedRevs extension and your global group memberships don't give you the rights to review pages. This leads to the situation where you rollback a bad edit and the page remains requiring a reviewer to accept your revision. To fix this I've added you to the Reviewer group locally so in future any rollback will also get automatically reviewed. If you want the rights removed please let me know. La verità è che quando uno ha a carico tutti quei blocchi, è chiaramente spacciato. Da un'occhiata agli altri edits usati con il rollback negli altri progetti: fanno davvero così schifo? ksh-Wikipedia needs your help

Hi Vituzzu, I am an administrator at ksh-Wikipedia. You helped us there yesterday by reversing vandalism. ksh-Wikipedia has this problem in the last couple of weeks. Plenty of pages are destroyed. This happens regularly and the contents of the pages is substituted by 1 sentence always containing the words "Harald Krichel". Is there a possebility to block saving this sentence? I don't know how to do this but maybe you can help us. ksh is just a small wikipedia and I can't watch edits around the clock. It would be kind of you to support us. But that user sockpuppets, and hewill keep changing his username and spamming my inbox here and at other wikis. I have to delete tens of emails from him whe he's at it. Its not just me but many other users who have been effected at English wikipedia in particular, inclusing RolandR, Nishidani, Nableezy,among others. He also vandalizes article pages we edit, and our user pages. I'm not sure I can enable my email again without having to waste time cleaning up after him as he comes back in new incarnations (people see to think he was Grawp at en.wiki, a serial abusive sosckpuppeter). Nuovo progetto

Ciao, scrivo a te in quanto secondo me, rivestendo il ruolo di steward e inoltre essendo di madrelingua italiana sei la persona più adatta ad ascoltarmi. Siccome io concentro il mio lavoro su roa-tara.wiki ma spesso seguo e sono presente anche su altre versioni di Wikipedia nelle varie lingue regionali italiane, più o meno conosco il loro andamento e i loro problemi, tra cui su tutti la mancanza di utenti, mancanza quindi della materia prima necessaria per lo sviluppo di un progetto. Spesso e volentieri la maggior parte di questi progetti contano solo pochi utenti realmente attivi (che non sono quelli contati nella pagina delle statistiche, ma quelli che contribuiscono costantemente da tempo al progetto). Le comunità di queste wiki sono composte da pochissime persone e questo comporta una serie di problemi derivati che non si hanno su altre wiki che presentano comunità più consistenti. L’esiguo numero di partecipanti è un deficit non da poco, ed è secondo me il primo ostacolo da superare per poter far fare un salto di qualità a questi progetti. Ho pensato quindi di creare sulla falsariga di progetti quali Slavopedia e Scanwiki un nuovo progetto chiamato "Wikitaly". Il progetto si prefiggerebbe di coordinare tutti i progetti esistenti della Wikimedia Foundation nelle lingue regionali parlate sul territorio italiano. Questo progetto ha come obiettivo, quindi, quello di unificare tutte le comunità dei progetti interessati, per favorire una maggiore cooperazione tra di esse e un più rapido sviluppo dei vari progetti tramite una pianificazione oculata degli obiettivi da raggiungere volta per volta. Provvederei personalmente a informare ogni singolo progetto interessato e a nominare un responsabile per ognuno di esso che possa fare da portavoce principale del proprio progetto. Essendo Meta-Wiki un sito che si pone come obiettivo di coordinare tutti i progetti Wikimedia, questo sarebbe il posto perfetto dove realizzare il progetto. Anche questo è vero, qualcuno potrebbe essere diffidente all'idea, temendo magari di vedere arrivare qualche "estraneo" a dettar legge nella propria wiki. So bene che solo chi lavora a un determinato progetto lo può conoscere a fondo, nei suoi difetti e nelle sue virtù, per questo il mio progetto seguirebbe lo stile "Unione Europea" dove c'è un'organismo centrale che controlla vari Paesi i quali però si governano e si gestiscono da soli. Gli utenti di ogni singole comunità potranno così stilare una lista di "cose da fare" e di determinati obiettivi da raggiungere nella propria wiki in piena autonomia, e il compito del mio progetto sarebbe quello di aiutarli nei loro intenti, concordando ogni azione, per migliorare ogni singola wiki. Ti chiedo gentilmente di essere più cauto nel bloccare globalmente intere sottoreti di indirizzi IP, prediligendo il blocco di singoli indirizzi IP anche se dovessi notare che questi fanno parte di una stessa sottorete, in modo da limitare i danni collaterali (a maggior ragione quando il blocco è globale e vale per tutti i wiki di Wikimedia). Ho completato l'unione degli account. Per quanto riguarda la segnalazione al provider, io non ricevo alcun danno diretto, ma vengo danneggiato da una reazione di Wikimedia ad un problema che non sussiste tra me e lo spammer bensì tra Wikimedia e lo spammer, quindi dovrebbe essere innanzitutto Wikimedia ad inoltrare una segnalazione ai provider interessati ed alle autorità competenti, anche perché io non posso conoscere tutti gli indirizzi IP interessati mentre Wikimedia possiede i log completi. Per quanto riguarda il blocco degli indirizzi IP, nel caso specifico mi sembra di aver visto dalla cronologia dei blocchi che era stato bloccato prima un determinato indirizzo IP e successivamente un'intera sottorete alla quale esso apparteneva (presumibilmente perché lo spamming continuava ad essere perpetrato attraverso altri indirizzi IP appartenenti alla medesima sottorete), ma volendo tentare di limitare il più possibile i danni collaterali, forse si sarebbe potuto continuare a bloccare altri indirizzi IP singoli lasciando il blocco di un'intera sottorete come extrema ratio, anziché ricorrere a quest'ultimo così rapidamente. Ovviamente non posso conoscere tutti i dettagli dell'episodio, quindi mi sono semplicemente affidato ad una gentile richiesta di estrema cautela, a costo del fatto che potesse essere superflua. Understanding

I noticed on en:wiki that you said user's coming here need understanding of this place. I agree. I said so, both at en:wiki, and at meta, a week ago, and more. As I said then, I have been appalled at some of the behavior of en:wiki admins here, but also appalled at the behavior of some admins on Meta. You may have little control or influence on what they do, but you probably have some influence over what goes on around here and user's understanding of this place. As Sj has suggested elsewhere there is something wrong, here, if this site does not make process and policy clear to users. This is especially true since this is a communication and coordination site for multiple projects. In short, you admins, collectively and the entire community here (of which I am a part) is responsible for making Meta easy to understand. So, the purpose of this post is to suggest that being able to point users to clear policy would both help users understand and reduce stress and conflict for all. Hi, Why did you removed all crat flags as crat haven't ability to assign oversighter and CU user group. OTRS per un'immagine

Ciao! Mi scuso in anticipo perché non so se sia opportuno da parte mia domandartelo, tuttavia, avendo mandato una richiesta per il rilascio del codice OTRS per un'immagine Hasbro (un poster Comic-Con di My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic) per cui avevo già ottenuto l'autorizzazione, volevo domandarti a che punto sia la procedura (mi sembra strano che dopo oltre un mese non sia ancora stato possibile accertare la legittimità dell'autorizzazione, ma forse non è così inconsueto come credo). Scrivo a te perché - a quanto ho capito - sei l'operatore che se ne occupa. Ti ringrazio moltissimo per l'assistenza!

Salve, volevo chiedere se gentilmente potreste completar tutta la lista dei super brividi. Grazie mille!

Range IP mio server privato (no open proxy) bloccato; impossibilità utilizzo account

Buonasera, l'altro giorno per motivi pratici ho incominciato ad utilizzare uno dei miei server (213.239.197.142, server1.vittgam.net) come server di desktop remoto con browser; provando a modificare Wikipedia da lì ho ricevuto il messaggio di IP range bloccato, anche dopo aver effettuato il login. Sono stato aggiunto al gruppo "IP block exempt" sulla Wikipedia inglese [8], ma non riesco a trovare una pagina di servizio/template per user talk page equivalente sulla Wikipedia italiana (o magari anche per tutti i Wikimedia Projects). Sulla pagina di edit c'era un link per scrivere una mail ma è bloccato anche quello (mi manda allo stesso errore dell'edit), quindi sto scrivendo qui. È possibile essere aggiunto al gruppo "IP block exempt" o equivalente sulla Wikipedia italiana? Grazie. Martedì 08 Maggio 2012 12:26 A salvarlo sono stati alcuni amici che avevano letto un messaggio su Facebook, in cui l'attore annunciava di volersi togliere la vita.

Il mondo dello spettacolo ti fa arrivare facilmente dalle stelle alle stalle. E' quanto accaduto ultimamente all'attore messinese Lorenzo Crespi. Il protagonista delle serie Tv Gente di Mare, Carabinieri, Pompei e dopo aver interpretato vari ruoli in diversi film di successo, ultimamente le sue apparizioni sono state sempre più centellinate e ieri sera ha tentato il suicidio nella casa di S. Margherita a Messina.

Lorenzo, dopo aver bevuto sostanze alcoliche, ha ingerito barbiturici ed ha scritto un messaggio di addio sul social network Facebook, nel quale annunciava di volersi togliere la vita. I suoi amici che hanno letto sulla sua bacheca, hanno immediatamente lanciato l'allarme e si sono recati presso la sua abitazione. L'attore Messinese è stato trasportato d'urgenza presso il Policlinico Universitario di Messina, dove è stato sottoposto alle cure del caso per salvargli la vita.

Per fortuna i soccorsi sono giunti in tempo e l'attore messinese adesso è stato dimesso e si trova nuovamente nella sua abitazione con la madre. L'ultima sua apparizione in Tv risale al 2010. Fu chiamato a partecipare alla 6ª edizione di Ballando con le stelle, insieme alla ballerina Natalia Titova. Dopo alcune puntate entrò in conflitto con i giurati, poi con gli autori e i colleghi.
