:Hi [[User:Rehman|Rehman]]. Thanks for re-applying! I'd like to help out with the OTRS because I enjoy interacting with people interested in using free licenses for their work, often for the first time. I'm an active user (since 2006) and content-creator on en-wiki and a license reviewer on Commons. I'm also active on the Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard, working to clear backlog such as I can without actual OTRS access. I'm familiar with free licensing policies and will always err on the side of caution when it comes to approving a file submitted via OTRS. I also seek to treat those sending files via OTRS respectfully and assume good faith from them as who knows; a positive experience with free licensing one file may lead to more down the road. Thanks for your consideration! -- Bobamnertiopsis (talk) 20:09, 29 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello Everymody,

I'd like to help out on OTRS. Active since 2010 and sysops from 2 years, I invest in welcoming newbies on Wikipedia. I regularly bring my experience and through advice, explanations and trying to be as pleasant as possible.

As a sysops, I many invested in recent changes and procedures for copyrights (claims selective deletion and pages suspected of copyright infringement). I am very comfortable with the various existing licenses according to the French law.

Second, how I feel especially need to feel useful to Wikipedia, especially as - to take again my example of copyrights - my help ends when I indicate the procedure to follow for rerelease. When it complains that two weeks later he is still unanswered, it is frustrating not to be able to complete the work started.

I will attend mainly to permissions-fr. But I won't rule out to contribute to info-fr

I am also a checkuser in French Wikipedia since february 2015.

And I'm ready to learn things I don't know yet.

I'm at your disposal for any remark.

Bests regards, --Superjuju10 [Aubline available to you], 10:14, 30 March 2015 (UTC) + 08:11, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Rehman

Hi. Could someone restore OTRS access to my account, please? It has been removed recently due to my lack of activity in handling tickets directly. I use OTRS mainly to access tickets of files that come up on the deletion queues. That's the same reason which I mentioned when I had applied for the access back in early 2011. Thanks, Rehman 13:49, 31 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Tiptoety. Thanks for the new policy page link, I had somehow missed that. Yes, I should be able to meet that threshold :) Rehman 12:37, 1 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hello again, Rehman. We don't appear to have received your new email with this application (as noted towards the top of the page in the green box). Can you please (re-)send that to us? Thanks! Rjd0060 (talk) 18:21, 7 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

I have previously been an OTRS volunteer for a number of years, but had to relinquish acces due to other engagements. I've been fairly active in the "job", and while I may not have as much time as I used to, I still hope to contribute to the queues I've previously had access to (see above). I also added the two other Scandinvaian language queues in case they need someone to chip in. I wasn't too active in the German queue, since the other volunteers had it pretty well covered, so I won't file an extra application to info-de. There was a call for Norwegian volunteers on wp:no recently, and since I'm pretty experienced, I thought I'd starting contributing again.

In addition, I had access to a few other queues, but I'll get back to that if (hopefully when) this application goes through. You can just look up my stuff in the OTRS system if you'd like to. Asav (talk) 23:55, 1 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

For info-de see the "German-speaking volunteers" section above. --Steinsplitter (talk) 12:26, 2 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
Oops, soory, shouldn't have added that one, as stated in my text. Unless you need som extra hands? In that case, I'll file an extra application to the de-team. Asav (talk) 07:21, 3 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to help out on OTRS because I am an active user on the Russian Wikipedia and I am a sysop on the Commons. I am working closely with GLAM projects in Russia. In addition I spend hours convincing famous people to register and upload their files to the Commons and I help new contributors to understand the OTRS permissions process and the CC licensing system. It's usually a exhausting process :) and I suppose OTRS status would make things easier. It would help if there would be one more russian speaking OTRS person. I'd like to become an OTRS volunteer to help out in shortening the OTRS pending queue times. . --Gruznov (talk) 21:42, 4 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

I am applying for access to the OTRS info-en and Permissions queues because I would like to assist with public inquiries and review copyright submissions. As a sysop on en.wiki with nearly a decade of experience, I would be able to assist with any questions that members of the public may have regarding the project. I have re-joined the the en-wiki community as of January, and have submitted over 2k edits so far in 2015. I am also active on the en-wiki UTRS team, clearing out the backlog in less than a few weeks. Recently, I have found a need to query OTRS team members on IRC regarding additional information in tickets, and I would like to be able to review and respond to any relevant tickets myself. Thanks for your consideration, -- Nakon 05:47, 7 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'm a long-time editor of Wikipedia (both en and pl; over 11 years of experience and counting), yet I always try to look at Wikipedia from a perspective of someone who looks at it for the very first time. Since October 2014 I'm also the press officer of Wikimedia Polska Association. As such I receive plenty of mail traffic that would better be handled through OTRS. My duties also include cooperation with various GLAM initiatives and university and high-school cooperation projects that often require plenty of assistance, both with explaining the inner workings of wiki and with file permissions, licensing and whatnot (hence my application for commons queues as well). Finally, I'm often active in the Polish adopt-a-user initiative (currently dropped-out due to family problems, but plan to return to active duty soon). I believe my experience as an active Wikipedian could help others join our merry bunch. -- Halibutt (talk) 12:09, 7 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to help out on OTRS because I've found renewed interest in this activity. I was previously member of the OTRS team, but it was inactivated due to inactivity. The main reason for having a renewed membership is to deal with Wikiversity Journal of Medicine. Currently, authors send their works, peer reviews and permissions to my email address. With access to the Wikiversity OTRS queue I can let them send their works to there, availing for all OTRS members to verify the source of the works. When keeping an eye on this queue I may very well help out on other tickets too if I can. Since some works may involve media and their permissions to be used across several wiki projects, I find it useful to have access to permissions-en as well. -- Mikael Häggström (talk) 12:32, 7 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
