It's a two days Edit-a-thon about climate change and environment in Northern Nigeria were I and other participants we will translate English Wikipedia articles about Climate Change and environment to Hausa Wikipedia.
Context[edit]
This project will be for two days and it will contains at least 30 participants in each day. I will list targeted articles which we will translate it from English Wikipedia to Hausa Wikipedia and also improve other existence articles with fixing typo and providing references. The event will focused on active Wikipedia editors whose have the experience of editing Wikipedia. I will work with Participants from Katsina and Kano state of Northern Nigeria. During the Edit-a-thon we will create articles about Climate Change in Northern Nigeria and Environment. We will also create articles about environmentalists and climate change activist.

Well-done, it a good approach for an awareness to climate change,as it's good to let people know effects of climate change in our environment.in many cases we misused our environment in an appropriate way which leads to disasters.with this proposal we will enlight and be enlighten how to utilize our environment.

I strongly support this proposal because the organizer came with a good idea for solving the one of the northern Nigeria problems, I am among the project's facilitators also I am living in northern Nigeria (Kano state), I am sure that through this project will give an opportunity to the people to make a research in Wikipedia in order to prevent their areas from effects of climatic change and currently now we are facing the effect of climatic change in our state (Kano) and I am sure that if this proposal be considered and approved our society will have a full awareness on how to prevent their areas from effects of climatic change. Secondly, the project's lead and facilitators are well experienced Wikimedian editors, the organized different projects within the whole examined states, not only this three states and the whole northern Nigeria.
