Report/Outcomes[edit]

Report[edit]

Program stared on 10.15 a.m. The new editors created their ID and password for wiki. They were given a brief introduction on Wikipedia articles and different required parts of a good article. A list of some ready english articles were made beforehand, which dont't have Infoboxes. The participants were taught to translate through Content Translation. They were instructed not to follow machine translation exactly.

Four articles created. Now through visual editing they corrected some mistakes. After that they were taught how to search out Infobox, insert that in the article and fill up. Three articles without infoboxes were given Infobox.

Lunch was served at about 1.30 p.m.

From 2.15 p.m. Wikisource workshop started. The participants were taught about the activities of Wikisource. Then they were shown the process of proofreading.

The participants proofread about 11 pages from two books.

Technical session ended at about 4.45 p.m. The participants shared their experiences and expressed their desire to continue with Wiki. They requested for some more formal or informal workshops.
