Why should a project which is not target of the campaign should vote on a campaign? Eswiki is not Spain. Hence, I have never seen any such vote before on similar photo contest. The campaign looks fine to me. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 19:31, 19 September 2019 (UTC)

@DerHexer: Are any projects other than Spanish projects intended to be included? If so, I'd recommend changing the destination page to not be Spanish-only. For returning events like Wiki Loves campaigns the CentralNotice administators never insisted on further notifications or consensus every year. Since I don't know of any opposite opinions from my fellows, the same will also have to apply to Wiki Loves Folk. Nevertheless, I agree that with the current proposed language settings, the landing page should also handle non-Spanish language visitors or should be limited to Spanish languages. —DerHexer (Talk) 23:47, 19 September 2019 (UTC)

I want to put a bit of context in it. I understand that request for CentralNotice have higher requirements now, to not abuse of it. Wiki Loves Folk is a photo contest, like Wiki Loves Monuments and Wiki Loves Earth, but focused in festivals and festivities. This will be the 4th edition of the contest, with no opposition in last years, and we did not have any comment againts it in any language, and for me this is quite relevant. In Spain there are 8 projects in languages of the country, not only Spanish (an, ast, ca, es, eu, ext, gl and oc), but the target is people in Spain. Many people in Spain read Wikipedia in English or in other languages like French, or their languages for communities with a foreign heritage, like Romanian, Arabic, etc.

I don't understand what Yair rand means with Spanish-only, do you mean Spanish language or projects in languages of Spain? Many times, many people assume that one country = one language, and that's not true at all. This is true only for very few cases. As I said, the focus is all people based in the country, because the language they use is not the important thing, because they can have photos of the festivities and they can read wikipedia in Urdu for example. I don't imagine a banner in Germany or UK for Wiki Loves Monuments only in the languages from there, but in all projects. Here is the same. And this discussion makes me think. Who has to reach the consensus in one project for a country? the whole community or the community from that country only? I mean, in Russian Wikipedia for example, but the banner is shown only in Spain, and readers from Russia do not see the banner, do editors from outside of Spain in that language discuss that or only who is "affected" by the CentralNotice? Yes. I'll create a campaign soon, but that's merely a technical thing rather than something you need to care about.
