Open Foundation West Africa continues to expand its tentacles across the sub-region with the intent to promote Open movement activities.

Over the years we have partnered with universities, tech institutions, and other educational institutions among others to reach as many people as we can to enhance the activities of open. We have over ten (10) hubs across the regions in Ghana. Amongst these hubs, we have established clubs in the University of Ghana, Ashesi University, University of Cape Coast, and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

In our quest to reach more students, we are excited to have successfully landed a partnership with the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Ho in the Volta Region. By this partnership, a wiki club will be established in the school and will be open to all students who are interested in the Open and the world of Wikimedia.

Also, the partnership will see the Library department of the university working hand in hand with the wiki club to help with referencing and sourcing articles on Wikipedia.

We are glad to see educational institutions like this open their doors to us as it is our fundamental vision to contribute largely to the development of skills on the continent using an open-centered approach through the delivery of training and capacity-building opportunities.
