[edit]- How's the weather during the Conference?
The temperatures on Friday are expected to be 86 - 66 deg F (26 C), current sea water temperature is 79 deg F (26 C) [1]
- What types of clothing do you suggest?
The weather is expected to be warm, so you can pack light clothes. However, nights at this time of the year might be a bit chilly, so bring a cardigan or a jacket. Bring T-shirts and sun glasses. Also bring swimwear (beach towels will be provided by the hotel).
- What electricity and telecommunications are utilized?
- Electricity voltage in Israel is 220 volts at 50 Hertz, power plugs type H.

- What's the currency in Israel?
- The Israeli currency is the New Israeli Shekel, abbreviated as NIS or ₪, which is worth about US $0.27. Most businesses accept international credit cards (The two most popular card types are Visa and MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club are also widely accepted.), which can also be used to withdraw cash from ATMs. Note that you will need cash in order to pay for public transportation (taxis and buses). Banknotes of all major currencies can be easily exchanged into local currency. Don't exchange too much money at the airport, because exchange rates there tend to be less favorable.
- What are the working hours in Israel?
- The working week is Sunday to Thursday. The main weekly holiday is Saturday, or more accurately from Friday afternoon to Saturday night, according to the Jewish tradition. Businesses are usually open from 9am to 7pm, and offices usually operate between 8am to 4pm or between 9am to 5pm. Most offices are closed all day on Friday, but shops are open on Friday continuously until 3 or 4pm. Public transportation is halted for about 24 hours between Friday at about 4pm and Saturday about 6pm. Taxis work normally, but charge the night fare all day long on Saturday.

English is enough to get by in Tel Aviv. Street signs are trilingual (Hebrew-Arabic-English) and the local residents are used to seeing foreign visitors and will be happy to make the effort and speak English.

- Is the food in the conference Kosher?
Both the hotel and the food at the venue will be Kosher.
- Are all the restaurants in Tel Aviv Kosher?
No. most are not. Check with each restaurants. Kosher restaurants do not operate from Friday noon until Sunday.
