Imagine having data for museum catalogues, scientific literature or archives in a form that can be read and edited by humans and machines. Ready to query, link to other knowledge bases and open for everyone.
In this workshop you will learn how your organization can install and establish its own instance of a structured data repository and become a neighbor in the Linked Open Data Web. You will learn about Wikibase, the software behind Wikidata and how you can use your very own installation for your collection or archive.
- What will attendees take away from this session?
The session should give participants an insight into Wikibase and teach them to do an installation for their collection of data themselves. As a long-lasting impact, the number of Linked Open Data repositories that are connected and enrich their data with facts and statements from other collections should increase. Let’s build and strengthen the Data Commons!
