This is the list of global permissions of global user groups with descriptions.

Basic permissions

• Merge their account (centralauth-merge)
• Create new user accounts (createaccount)
• Purge the cache for a page (purge)

Editing permissions

• Not be affected by IP-based rate limits (autoconfirmed)
• Have one's own edits automatically marked as patrolled (autopatrol)

• Edit the user interface (editinterface)
• Move pages (move)

Deleting/undeleting and protection/unprotection permissions

• Delete pages with large histories (bigdelete)

Maintaining permissions
