  • According to Wikimedia itself, 38% of users have experienced harassment. The most frequent forms of "harassment" experienced were vandalism and flaming. While people shouldn't vandalize articles or start flame-wars, those are things you just have to deal with on public projects like these. Get the mods involved if necessary (and, for actual harassment like stalking, the police), but beyond that, just don't let it get to you. Lunaibis (talk) 13:03, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Granted, "don't feed the trolls" is an effective counter most of the time; but this discussion was opened because there are all too many situations where "just don't let it get to you" simply doesn't solve the problem. When someone is constantly making subtle uncivil comments with a particular bias that slide under the block radar, the immediate victim is editor participation; the ultimate victim is neutrality. • I agree there are mechanisms already in wikipedia to handle this. Fuxx (talk) 17:44, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
