Project idea[edit]

What is the problem you're trying to solve?[edit]

There is too much harassment, and that harassment exists because of systemic bias. In order to tackle the systemic bias, we must address the issue that causes the harassment. [1]

What is your solution?[edit]

In order to solve the harassment we must make a quota for verified women in admin positions.

Project goals[edit]

By making women an integral part of wikipedia at the admin and high levels like arbcom then we can begin to eliminate the systemic bias which is the back bone maintaining the harassment on the site.

Get involved[edit]

Participants[edit]

  • Project manager I think we can also find volunteers at Project Countering Systemic Bias and the Gender Gap Task Force. Kswikiaccount (talk) 16:54, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

Endorsements[edit]

  • When participation in an activity by women, who are 50% of the population, is far below 50%, a barrier to entry can be presumed to exist. A quota can overcome that barrier. Ideally, most community activities should resemble the broader community in the makeup of their participants. Discrimination that excludes is almost always undesirable; discrimination that includes is sometimes necessary as an antidote. Surfscoter (talk) 22:14, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Comment: better to find qualified people to run for, or interview for those positions. —Neotarf (talk) 01:12, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
