8. What are your programs, approaches, and strategies? What are the challenges that you are trying to address and how will your strategies support you in addressing these challenges? (required)

Program: Training for university students to contribute to Wikipedia and Wikidata Approach: Training in colleges and institutes. Strategy: Providing training sessions for students on Wikipedia content related to their specialization and training students in technical specializations to contribute to Wikidata, and the training will be from users with experience in these projects. Challenges: Lack of interest in or participation in activities and training. Strategies for Challenges: Attracting students’ interest by working on content that is relevant to their studies and related to their specialization and implementing training in its colleges.

Program:Training of trainers in Tripoli Approach: In-person training at the technical center in Tripoli. Strategy: Qualifying a number of trainers to later organize training for the community in Tripoli, according to Wikipedia . The trainers' training will be supervised by experienced users of the encyclopedia. Challenges: Reaching people interested in being trainers in the city of Tripoli. Strategies for Challenges: Providing interested trainers by communicating with technical centers and announcing training for trainers in Tripoli ts.


Program: Participation in the Wiki Loves Monuments competition. Approach: Launching session in Benghazi and online. Strategy: Introducing participants to the Wiki Loves Monuments competition. Challenges: Lack or decrease in the number of those interested in and participating in the training and competition. Strategies for Challenges: Communicate with photography clubs, art students specializing in photography, and amateurs. Broad advertising for a good period before the competition. Organizing a Launching session for the competition in person and online.


Program: Training on the Arabic Wikisource . Approach: In-person training sessions in Benghazi and online. Strategy: Providing training materials on Wikisource and implementing and supervising the training by expert Wikisource users. Challenges: Increasing participants from the Libyan community in Wikipedia's sister projects, Wikisource in particular. Strategies for Challenges: Communicate with cultural centers to introduce the project, announce training, and also publish advertisements on Libyan cultural websites.


Program: Celebration of the twentieth Arabic Wikipedia Day. Approach: Two in person meetings in Benghazi to raise awareness about the Wikimedia movement and projects, shed light on the Arabic Wikipedia, and celebrate its twentieth anniversary. Challenges: Lack of attendance due to lack of prior knowledge of the encyclopedia and its importance. Lack of knowledge of the existence of a celebration on the occasion of Arabic Wikipedia Day. Strategies for Challenges: A call for cultural and volunteer organizations in the city of Benghazi. Direct communication with some individuals from the community to attend the event. Advertisements on the social media pages of the Wikimedia Libya community and also on the pages of some of our community partners.

Our team consists of two members: NANöR and Salema younus. We will perform various, divided, and mutual tasks to execute the program and activities proposed in this request. A budget is allocated in the application for these roles and tasks. The tasks are coordination, organization, management and consulting. Among the coordinator's duties: Coordination: Oversee the projects’ advancement, budget, and reporting. Manage communication, material, and surveys to be published. Oversee emails and social media channels. Prepare grant applications and reports. Collect and evaluate feedback from participants. Schedule meetings. Manage documentation on Meta or on Wikiprojects. Coordination with the fiscal sponsor.

Among some of the facilitator's duties: Facilitation: Lead online and in-person training sessions. PPreparing materials with trainers who will be used in training sessions. Follow up and contact participants and partners. Attending meetings.
