Content translation workshops were organized at 6 different places (Tumkur, Huvinahadagali, Gadag, Hampi, Mysore and Udupi ) in Karnataka state, wherein Udupi and Mysore events were involved only women participants. Our motive was to bring in more women contributors and women related articles- yes we achieved it. The tool for content translation made our work easier and time saving. Availability of Content translation tool motivated the participants to contribute more and exceed the expected outcome. All the workshops were conducted at Educational Institutions. This also helped indirectly to bring in the Wikipedia as a platform in education programs.

I found its quite easy to teach the content translation tool to new editors including the new female editors. Sustainability of the new editors after the project is bit low. We need to organize follow-up activities including workshops and editathons to keep the new editors motivated and continue editing. Most of the participants were students. They do not have their own laptop or PC, they used the Computer labs available in the Educational Institutes during the workshops. If this participants were facilitate with appropriate infrastructure we can except increased continuous contribution from them. Projects like Project-Tiger should be organised regularly.

5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)

Few places like Gadag, Hampi, Huvinahadagali and Mysore were new for us, surprisingly we achieved good outcome and exceeded the target. We had issues with projectors at some places. We had anticipated this kind of issues and were prepared with backup projector handy.

I am planning to present my learning and results in our next Community meetups. And also, in online platforms.
