We did workshops in Ho, Accra and Tamale to educate community members: this was done to educate them on the type of images that will be accepted on Commons, how they should take the pictures and also how to upload them on Wikimedia Commons. And to also educate them about the need to add descriptions to pictures they take. Copyright: participant were educated on copyright and to avoid copyright infringement.

Part 2: Learning

[edit]

4. In your application, you outlined some learning questions. What did you learn from these learning questions when you implemented your project? How do you hope to use this learnings in the future? You can recall these learning questions below. (required)

You can recall these learning questions below: "Africa Create"

Learn how how Africa or the society is creating things to help push the economy. I hope to learn about the resilient nature of the Africa in his or her small space. Learn about their motivation. Learn about how their good work impact positively on the society.

1. i learnt about how people leaving in the locality we went make money out of the craft they have learnt, 2. I have also learnt about how they help push Africa with the indigenous way of creating things to meet international standard. 3. I have also learnt that some of them have their goods ship out of the country. 4. They also motivate themselves with fact that people patronise their goods and crafts.

5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)

A lot because people don't want their faces to appear in some of the pictures we took. Sometimes, we have to spend about 20 t0 30 minutes explaining to people the impact of what we are doing. But at the end some decline our request. One unexpected thing happend when we went on a photowalk in the Volta Region of Ghana, it rained and we have to stop the photowalk and have a workshop instead.

6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)
