4. To what extent do you agree with the following statements regarding the work carried out with the support of this Fund? You can choose “not applicable” if your work does not relate to these goals.

Our efforts during the Fund period have helped to...
A. Bring in participants from underrepresented groups Strongly agree
B. Create a more inclusive and connected culture in our community Agree
C. Develop content about underrepresented topics/groups Agree
D. Develop content from underrepresented perspectives Agree
E. Encourage the retention of editors Agree
F. Encourage the retention of organizers Strongly agree

5. Is there anything else you would like to share about how your efforts helped to bring in participants and/or build out content, particularly for underrepresented groups?

We communicated through groups of women who joined us on photography Walk and uploading sessions. 1/5 women participated in our events.

Part 2: Your main learning[edit]

6. In your application, you outlined your learning priorities. What did you learn about these areas during this period?

During the execution of the project, we learned a lot about the protection of the environment, in particular the protection of certain animal species such as felines, the white lion, the tawny lion, the white striped tiger, the spotted hyena, the civet. , the lynx and many other animals that can attract many tourists. We also discovered that the mangrove can be a great opportunity for ecological agriculture respectful of the protection of the environment for the country. We have partnered with a photographer who is an influencer of social networks in the field of environmental protection and who helped us to communicate. this allowed us to have a variety of participants (photographers in the field of environmental protection, people in the field of biodiversity)

7. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences?

With our fourth participation, Wiki Loves Earth 2022 in Benin reinforces the passion of our Wikimedien Benin user group and allows us to share with the community the richness of our biodiversity and allows us to visit other unknown and never-visited sites. For what did not work, we can note: The poor quality of the photos submitted by the participants and certain photos out of context of the contest; Few professional photographers among the participants. The bank transfer of funds which had come a bit late. The user group website launched for Benin, has made Wiki Loves Earthn more visible in Benin for more visibility of the project

Several professional photographers in the field of environmental protection and biodiversity also made it possible to have several quality photos better than past editions

8. How do you hope to use this learning? For instance, do you have any new priorities, ideas for activities, or goals for the future?

For future editions, we plan to encourage, involve and motivate new contributors and members of our own user group. Organize more download sessions and editathons and Photo Walks in places where the community has never been. recruit even more new people for the campaign Find professional more photographers for jury work to allow a more thorough and faster selection process and find partnerships

9. Documentation of resources: Use this space to upload any documents that would be useful to share with others (e.g. communications material, training material, presentations).
