Part 1 Understanding your work
[edit]1. Briefly describe how your proposed activities and strategies were implemented
I first started the project by creating a page on Meta-Wiki. I shared this with the community in Turkey by adding the online form link to the page for volunteers to join. After keeping the participant form open for a while, I contacted those who filled it out and asked what topics they could talk about. Then, I prepared a flow and invited them to the studio, and we shot on the determined days. After the shooting was completed, editing was done, the videos were uploaded to Wikimedia Commons and YouTube, and they were made ready for viewing by adding Turkish and English subtitles.
2. Were there any strategies or approaches that you felt were effective in achieving your goals? Please describe these strategies and approaches.
The process I found most effective was creating an opportunity for everyone in the community to participate and asking them questions about what they wanted to say. Thus, the participants' sense of belonging to the project improved and they participated more willingly. I think it is very important to give participants an opportunity to contribute in such projects where more than one person will take part. As I said above, this will both improve the sense of belonging and support the "Inclusivity & Participatory Decision-Making" and "knowledge equality" principles of the Wikimedia Foundation's 2030 Movement Strategy.
3. Please use this space to upload media and other files that help tell your story and impact.

4. To what extent do you agree with the following statements regarding the work carried out with the support of this Fund? You can choose “not applicable” if your work does not relate to these goals.
A. Bring in participants from underrepresented groups | Agree |
B. Create a more inclusive and connected culture in our community | Strongly agree |
C. Develop content about underrepresented topics/groups | Not applicable to your fund |
D. Develop content from underrepresented perspectives | Not applicable to your fund |
E. Encourage the retention of editors | Strongly agree |
F. Encourage the retention of organizers | Agree |
5. Is there anything else you would like to share about how your efforts helped to bring in participants and/or build out content, particularly for underrepresented groups?
N/A
Part 2: Your main learning
[edit]6. In your application, you outlined your learning priorities. What did you learn about these areas during this period?
During the project, I realized that community members were actually eagerly awaiting and showing interest in such projects. They are all excited about sharing their experiences with other Wikipedians. I also learned that the university welcomes such projects and that they can help us with such work on Wikimedia projects as long as there is a suitable environment and time.
I heard that some students and staff in the studio during the shooting found the subjects interesting and wanted to examine the series starting from the previous project 101. As a result, I learned that our community members are very eager to share their knowledge and experience about Wikimedia projects with new and existing Wikipedians.
7. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences?
Frankly, I thought there would be many more participants and that the topics would include much more detailed things (such as Lexeme). However, there was no one in our community who volunteered for this project to explain this. Even if there is, they may not want to participate in the project because they want to remain anonymous. From here, I realized that such competencies should be taught in detail to our community. Thus, we can be able to produce content on subjects that require such advanced level competence.
Additionally, by carrying out such projects, we can strengthen the motivation of more participants to take part in face-to-face projects over time. Thus, they can take part in projects individually instead of anonymity. For this reason, I changed some topics. I was already keeping this in mind as plan B. Thus, I realized once again that I should evaluate every possibility and make backup plans before starting a project.
Another difficulty I experienced was that since the participants were shooting in a professional studio for the first time, we shot some videos over and over again. However, after a few tries, the participants got used to the environment and we completed the shooting without any problems.
8. How do you hope to use this learning? For instance, do you have any new priorities, ideas for activities, or goals for the future?
I will definitely create similar Meta-Wiki pages and forms in my future projects to ensure that more participants take part in the projects. I will also announce these projects to my communities through social media channels. In addition, the participants made suggestions by adding something from themselves to the project and the project was shaped accordingly, which made them feel a sense of belonging to the project. For this reason, I will collect various suggestions from participants about project content in my future projects.
9. Documentation of resources: Use this space to upload any documents that would be useful to share with others (e.g. communications material, training material, presentations).

Part 3: Metrics
[edit]10a. Open Metrics reporting
In your application, you defined some open metrics and targets (goals). You will see a table like the one below with your metric in the title and the target you set in your proposal automatically filled in. Use the tables to report the result. Use the comments column to describe any aspects of this result that you find relevant. If the results were different from the initial target (goals) then you can explain why and what you learned from this. You can also provide any qualitative analysis regarding these results. In the last column please describe the tools and methodology used to collect this data and any difficulties you might have had.

17c. If you have not already done so in your budget report, please provide information on changes in the budget in relation to your original proposal.
Due to the high inflation in our country and the extra shooting day we had due to circumstances that developed beyond our plan, food and transportation support was provided to students and participants for the extra day they worked. For this reason, we completed this need by making some shifts among the items written in our budget.

I would like to thank the Wikimedia Foundation for caring about its users and supporting their dreams of realizing their projects. Completing my project with this support motivated me more for the work I will do in the future.
