Major Lyte/Wikidata Edit-a-thon for Tourism in NIgeria
As a result of the success that was recorded during the Wikidata for Tourism in Nigeria. This edit-a-thon is aimed at organising a practical session for the new wikimedians to put what they have learnt into practice.

They requested for subsequent opportunity for them to be productively engaged after the previous training session.

As a result the team was compelled to come up with this edit-a-thon in order to ensure active participation of the newbies in the Wikidata community and in the Wikimedia Movement as a whole.

Participants will know about the edit-a-thon through Social media channels, physical gatherings and the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria pages.

Yes, participants already have laptops and smartphones to participate actively.
  • Internet will be provided at the venue for the participants at the training.
  • Experienced Wikimedians will be available to guide the prospective participants where needed.

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

A WhatsApp Group will be created to engagement participants during the event.
