Project Goal[edit]

  1. Recruit new editors
  2. Increase skills for existing editors
  3. Add and improve content

Project Plan[edit]

Activities[edit]

Tell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

Yes,

I plan to organize series of training and an edit-a-thon so as to help expose and improve contents on Nigerian social media influencers on Wikidata.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

I will be working primarily with social media end users and social geeks as well as some handpicked growing social influencers.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

Information about the Wikimedia edit-a-thon will be disseminated using fliers and social media channels, such as: Twitter and Instagram.

The participants will be members of a WhatsApp group easing communication before during and after the event.

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals.
For example: User:I JethroBT

User:James Rhoda

User:Bukky658

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?

The participants have the digital devices and basic literacy skills needed to participate in the project. However, most of the participants are newbies who lack the necessary wiki skills needed to contribute high quality contents. Hence the need for this project.

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

Newly recruited participants will be admitted to popular and highly impactful social media influencers Wikimedia community whatsapp and Instagram group.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

This project will provide data and exposure for some dynamic social and culture leading individuals and groups as it will also further improve Wikimedia editing awareness especially in a area so narrow.
===Impact===

How will you know if the project is successful and you've met your goals? Please include the following targets: '’

  1. Number of events ‘2’
  2. Number of participants ‘60’
  3. Number of new editors ‘30’
  4. Number of of articles created or improved ‘If at least 100 articles are created or improved’
