Outcome[edit]

at least 25 people participate: 28 people participated. A total of 28 people of which 12 are new editors. Although, a few of them left before the end of the event

If at least one awareness video is produced and viewed by at least 10,000 people one awareness video was produced and viewed by over 26,000 people. See the viewership on the Yoruba Wikipedia fan page on facebook here and see it on Wikimedia Commons here It's a 2-minutes video. So, we promoted it on facebook only as Twitter will break it into 15 seconds and would be useless for viewers there.


Learning[edit]

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?
  1. The timely disbursement of funds by the WMF worked well.
  2. The timely delivery of event items such as foods, cake etc worked well
  3. The attendance of members of the user group was encouraging
  4. The video production management was very professional and that really worked well.
  • What did not work so well?
  1. There were no enough time for content creation
  2. Getting celebrities to feature on the video took time as they are usually very busy people. Many thanks to the two celebrities that featured, Mr. Wale Okunnu and Ms. Oluwadamilola Oni for featuring
  • What would you do differently next time?
  1. In the future, will begin engagement of celebrities early enough, at least a month before video production.
