This compagin will be among students, lecturers, people of higher institutions in Kaduna like Kaduna polytechnic, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna state university by making a connections of likes minds that want to contribute to the body of knowledge. With the aims of promoting awareness of Wikimedia projects like Wikipedia, wikidata wikicommons . Also to encourage people edits in difference language like Hausa. Librarians, Historians and other participants will be train on how to create and edits articles. Create wikidata items and add pictures to wikicommons. This project will support and complimate 1ref 1Lib Compaign of showcasing African Knowledge. Therefore project will be more concern about Librarians, Library science students. The project will concentrate on wikipedia and wikidata.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. 3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
e-flyers and through email and text messages For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

A WhatsApp group will be created for the purpose

Yes participants must have smart phone, laptop or computer for quality contribution.

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

The WhatsApp group will continue to function and we shall be having physical meeting once a month to make wikimedia Kaduna Connect hub functioning and contributing.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

The project exposed Librarians, students

and lecturers to digital literacy skills and let them know the importance of Wikimedia projects to education and also create visibility so local content in the northern region which will make them contents creators.

. Ramatu A. Haliru she is a Librarians at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and a certified wikipedia in African Libraries course in 2021. She is a wikimedian that love contributing to wikipedia, wikidata wikicommons with experience of participants in different wikimedia projects within Nigeria and African at large. She wish to share the wikimedia knowledge by organizing this project.

A Library space is available at Abdullahi Muhammed Public Library in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. What resources do you need? For your funding request, list bullet points for each expense and include a total amount.
