Project summary
[edit]Briefly summarize your project proposal. As a result of the different projects I've led in Funtua and other community, there are more editors of Wikimedia projects in the region especially from Funtua, Dandume, Kafur, Bakori and etc . Many editors are focused on Wikipedia and Wiktionary. Individually, editors often asking me for more information about many questions related to Wikimedia Commons, because of this I understand some problems with editors that I wanted to solve. The problems include;
Lack of contribution to Wikimedia Commons Lack of experience in using files especially photos to other Wikimedia Projects like Wikipedia

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?
- Is a one day training .
It will be one day edit-a-thon and training. I and facilitators we will teach the participants how to make editing on commons and guid them to upload photo in article and make editing on Hausa commons.
2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.
3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.
- I will let the participants know via our existence WhatsApp group of Wikimedians Community of Funtua area. I will also announce via Our Hausa Wikimedians WhatsApp and Telegram groups, I will also announce via our Hausa Wikipedia and Hausa Wiktionary Discussion pages.
4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals.

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?
- Yes they have smartphones some also have Laptops

- We already have a WhatsApp group of my previous project, I will continue engaging them there. And many of the participants are my coursemate.
7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?
- This project is important to my community because, to the best of my knowledge, a program related to this Wikimedias sisters project hasn't been organized before now in my karadua community.
