Thank you for submitting this Midpoint Report. I am accepting it now, with the following comments:

  • Congratulations on what you have completed to date!
  • Reading your report, I have the sense of all of the preparatory work underway. I have some concerns though about how you will be able to meet your ambitious Measures of Success in the second half of your project, and I'm looking forward to reviewing your Final Report to find out.
  • I hear that you faced a lot of challenges--like DLI change it's core library software, for example. I appreciate your capacity to problem solve around these unexpected obstacles and move forward flexibly in response to each set of circumstances.
  • So glad to hear that your project has been a booster in your community.

Marti (WMF) Thank you very much for reviewing the Midpoint report and approving it. Our plan is to achieve this goal with the help of students and teachers from various educational institutes. We will be sharing the upcoming activities around this to close the Final report. At the same time, 200+ book pages getting content donation under creative commons license from Prajavani - regional news paper for Kannada. That would boost for the entire kn wiki project around wikisource and wikipedia . We are also proposing an event in the state level Kannada literature festival in the coming months. There is a third e-library from Kannada Cultural Department under the Knowledge portal http://kanaja.in (Contains 500+ e-books and expected to grow up to 2500 by the year end ). We are working on adding those into the list of activities as well. Over all we target to achieve the best-expected results out of this project.
