Comments[edit]

Hi SweRavn, thanks for your idea to increase access to scientific publications. I'd like to draw your attention to some current projects such as The Wikipedia Library, which helps to support editor access to various kinds of academic publications. I should also note that researchers who conduct work in conjunction with the Wikimedia Foundation are required to publish their work under an open-access license. There is also Research here on meta, where a lot of research related to our projects is compiled. Do you have ideas for how to expand or improve any of these projects? Hi I JethroBT (WMF). Thanks for the comment. I was more thinking about actually publishing original research, competing with e.g. Nature and Science. SweRavn (talk)

WikiJournal[edit]

Your idea is the same as the one behind WikiJournal. WikiJournal of Medicine serves as the prototype based on which WikiJournal of Science is active and WikiJournals can definitely be formed for other subjects as well. However, at present it is not in a position to be adopted as an independent sister project. You may like to know more about the history from this editorial article. Please mention how your idea is different from this. DiptanshuTalk 12:50, 8 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
