Comments from the coordinator of the Flow Funding Pilot Project[edit]

Dear Ilario, the environment of the project you had selected to fund was certainly very challenging (mature audience in the south of Italy). Congratulations on your efforts to test how a flow funded initiative would develop in this context. In order to fully evaluate your report, could you please add the following information that refers to the impact originally planned for the project:

  • Feedback received from the Swiss and Italian Wikimedian communities
  • Links to all the materials that are now available under free licenses (preferably already uploaded to commons)
  • Details about the 2-3 days conference that you gave to a selected number of participants
  • Development of partnerships with universities, local administrations, libraries etc after the project ended

Thank you, TSB (talk) 16:47, 29 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Report received and funds returned[edit]

This report was received by WMF along with documentation of expenditures, and remaining funds were returned to WMF on 5 November 2013. Cheers, Winifred Olliff (Grants Administrator) talk 01:23, 30 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Photos?[edit]

I am surprised to not see photos mentioned as one of the gains for Wikimedia from all these highly-visual events -- photos of the historical buildings, the costumes, the dances, the instruments, etc. Were those not taken/uploaded? Asaf Bartov (WMF Grants) talk 21:35, 11 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

I participated in one of this event in an old church in a small village. I tried to take the event with my camera but the light was too low and the quality of the sound really bad cause several echoes. Unfortunately these are the means available because the events were focused more on attendees than in recording the event. I asked to Pietro if he has some video in higher quality. Some of mine can be recovered. Anyway the photos here are an example of what was done. --Ilario (talk) 10:26, 16 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please, find materials to those links[edit]

I apologize, I have no experience with Wiki sintax. Photos are published on the specific pages. For example, please see: http://www.trionfo.altervista.org/trionfoXX.htm. Close to each event, you can see a link to 1 or several photos. To read the historical description of each monument and related photos, please, see the specific event page (for example: http://www.trionfo.altervista.org/Programmi/2013/laudario.htm, and visit the monument link: http://www.trionfo.altervista.org/Monumenti/frattasossio.htm). The same holds for the other web-site: http://www.vicusmedievalis.altervista.org/home2013.htm. All materials were upoloaded since 4th January 2014. User:Pietro Di Lorenzo 9:54 16 March 2014 (UTC)

Thank you Pietro and Ilario for the update and photo links. While I understand the lighting was not ideal, the photos you shared are very helpful in understanding what the events were like (and that they were well attended!). The monument photos are also valuable. It would be great if you could upload any relevant photos to Wikimedia Commons with appropriate categories so they can be shared and used by the broader community. If you need help with uploading to Commons, please see these guidelines and let us know if you have any questions. Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 22:51, 17 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
