Grant-end date extension and reallocation requested - APPROVED

[edit]

Hello JChen (WMF): I hope you are doing well. As the third drive of our Deoband Yoruba Collaborative Project is scheduled to take place between 20 and 30 September 2024, we would need to issue the awards/prizes by mid-October. It is requested that the grant-end date for this grant be adjusted to 15 October 2024 so that we successfully evaluate the contributions and release prizes/awards and then work on the report in the next month. Our next activity plan will be followed afterwards. signed, Aafi (DCW) (talk) 10:54, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Aafi (DCW),
Thank you for your notification.
Your request for grant-end date extension has been approved.
The new grant end date is 15 October and final report is due 15 November 2024.
This is also reflected on Fluxx.
Thank you and hope all is well.
Regards,

Hi @JChen (WMF): Since the wiring of the our latest grant would take time, I am making a request here for seeking permission about the remaining underspent of this specific grant which is INR 13421.89 INR, from which an amount of 4500 INR is already scheduled for prizes of the Deoband Yoruba Collaborative Project. On the remaining, 8921.89 INR, our request follows:
We have a workshop cum meetup scheduled around October 9 in Deoband (for Wiki Club Deoband), and we would like to do a workshop at Wiki Club AMU as well, a day or two later. I request you to allow us spending the underspent of 8921.89 in supporting these workshops and meetups, as they happen prior to October 15. I'd be gladly in Delhi after returning from 3rd Wikimedia Technology Summit (WTS 2024), and thus a lot many travel expenses can be easily avoided. Travel to/from: Delhi to Aligarh, Delhi to Deoband, and stay/accomodation at both the places would be required. Our Wiki Club AMU volunteers are doing good. One of the members recently hosted our 21st DCW Conversation Hour. I believe providing timely support to these clubs would ensure their better/sustainable growth. signed, Aafi (DCW) (talk) 17:40, 2 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello @Aafi (DCW),
Thank you. We have reviewed and approved your reallocation.

Jacqueline JChen (WMF) (talk) 01:34, 3 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
@JChen (WMF): Thank you. I'm glad to share that both the events in Deoband and Aligarh were fruitful. Wiki Club AMU members have set up some focus points and also are preparing to share a diff blog. The other event was likewise promising. However, the expenses went a bit higher than what was expected. Instead of 8921.89 INR, the spendings went to 12,350.68 INR including the local logistic/accomodation and other charges. In this grant's report, we will add up the expenses for 8921.89 INR only - and adjust the remaining amount of 3428.79 INR from our current grant - as a reimbursement (and include that point in both the reports). Your support has been always helpful. signed, Aafi (DCW) (talk) 10:49, 16 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
