Not Funded[edit]

Hello @AYM8818 thank you for applying for the rapid fund grant. We reviewed your grant application and decided to not fund your application at this time. The reason for this being that there appears to be significant overlaps with this other project - Wikimedia Awareness in Billiri Community - happening within the same locality.

  • We strongly recommend that both project teams work together and coordinate or collaborate on this project to maximise the potential impact within the Billiri communities.
  • Please consider ensuring that project budgets are within reason and aligned with the project activities you are planning. For instance, consider online certificates rather than printed ones.

Best regards, (On behalf of the Middle East and Africa regional funds team) ~~~~ YPam (WMF) (talk) 06:39, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Good day to you @YPam (WMF) we want to thanks you for finding time to look at our grant.
I will like to add some comments here,
And I hope you will also consider our thoughts on this again.
We think there are differences towards our objectives, goals and impact. But still we understand the part that we can work together in other to maximize effort and impact.
Some of the difference are:
1. For the Billari Awareness, Billari Is a single local government in Gombe state, the other team wanted to create awareness in that particular area while we are creating awareness on songs an music to the entire Hausa Community constituting 19 states that's why we involved online activities to be able to carry everyone along.
2. they want to create general awareness to their people which is very good in other to bring them onboard, while we are trying to create an awareness on a particular angle that no one is making a contribute on which is also very important and crucial. Because one of the important tools for preservation culture and knowledge is through music.
3. Their main concern is writing articles, while we are having different concern to upload songs and make a research on the free license Music to be uploaded.
4. We are more of Audio while they focused on general awareness.
5. Our area is special on songs that are not available while we are still having free license Hausa music.
5.we are making awareness on the area that will educate our community to contribute in other to preserve this free songs.

COLLABORATION WITH THE ORGANISERS OF BIllARI AWARENESS[edit]

As we speak to you now, we already sent an email to @Thinkrasheed being him the main organiser in the project to be able to work with them and maximize impact and effort, we understand that it's important to bring people of Billari Local government along in the movement. This movement needs as much hand as it can get.
We already have plans to bring them along, since we are having online programs and we also have expert with loads of experience in the movement, this will also serve an an opportunity to them to meet with our old time editors in other to make awareness for them. With these changes we think we can both achieve our goals and be able to maximize resources.
Last but not the least, we are ready to make changes in the budget starting with the online certificate.
Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity, we hope to be considered again. Aliyu shaba]]Talk 08:37, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
