Hamza DK (talk) Mr this proposal will be implemented at the right time,as you said about how flooding destroyed many properties, cos it happens during the raining season and now it's about to be raining, so if this message reach to many people the risk of flooding will be reduced. I really supported this idea

Funded partially[edit]

Hello sadammuhammad11234, thanks for submitting this Rapid Fund request. We reviewed the proposal and made a decision to fund it partially, in the amount of 863,676 NGN (2,100 USD). We are funding this proposal with the following requests:

  • Experience on Wikimedia projects: The main applicant does not seem to have sufficient experience on Wikimedia projects. However, there are active Wikimedians in the team. We are funding this proposal taking into account that there are other active Wikimedians in the team. In the future, we will not be able to fund any grant requests where the main applicant lacks training and/or editing experience on Wikimedia projects.
  • Budget: We made a partial funding decision and request that the following expenses are adjusted:
    • Hall rental
    • Projector rental
    • Banner
    • Accomodations for organisers and transport, T-shirt and Caps: Supported only for 3 facilitators. We request that at least two of these facilitators are experienced Wikimedians with training experience.
    • Contest prizes and jury: maximum 400 USD budget supported for both expenses.
  • Community notification should be done in advance for any future activities.
  • Please clarify the metrics section. For example, it is unclear why there are 40 participants but 20 editors. Does it mean that only 20 of 40 participants will edit?

Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 09:02, 13 April 2023 (UTC) (on behalf of the Middle East and Africa regional funds team)[reply]

Hello DSaroyan (WMF), thank you for approved my grant request.

I have adjusted all the expenses requested. I also adjusted the total amount in USD. According to Oanda converter today 14th April, 2023, NGN 863,676 is equivalent to USD 1,868.19. Instead of USD 2100 now the total amount in USD is 1,868.19.

About the metrics section, we adjust it to 30 editors, this doesn't mean that the project will limited to 30 editors only. We are determined to develop more editors than that.

Thank you Sadammuhammad11234 (talk) 20:52, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request for time adjustment[edit]

Hello @DSaroyan (WMF),

I am writing to inform you that we have received the funds on time and have already engaged the participants for our project. However, I would like to request a change to our project's timeline. The current timeline coincides with the end of semester exams, and I believe it would be best to move the project's starting date from 20th of May to ending date 20th of June 2023.

I hope that this change is possible and that we can work together to ensure the project's success. Thank you for your understanding. Sadammuhammad11234 (talk) 20:19, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Sadammuhammad11234, thanks for posting your request. I have reviewed and formally approved it. The new grant end date is 30 June 2023, and the final report is due on 30 July 2023. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 09:38, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
