Not Funded[edit]

Hello Lomoraronad, thank you for applying for the rapid fund grant. We reviewed the grant application and decided not to fund it in this round for the following reasons;

  • More clarity is required regarding timelines and activities.There are a few inconsistencies and overlaps. For example, there are two "Week 1" sections, and the activities listed in the timeline sometimes repeat. It's ensure a clear and logical progression of activities.
  • The grant application provides a comprehensive overview of the competition and its objectives, it would be beneficial for the team to share some details regarding tangible outcomes expected,  beyond increasing the documentation of cultural heritage monuments. Think of how the improved representation of these monuments will benefit the local communities, educational institutions, and cultural organizations in South Sudan?Also, please share any initial thoughts the team has regarding sustaining the momentum of engagement and contribution after the campaign ends. This could involve discussing strategies for maintaining active participation from photographers, editors, and other stakeholders in Wikimedia projects related to cultural heritage beyond the competition's timeframe.
