Funded[edit]

Dear @Ross.Patrick We reviewed and approved the grant in the amount of 3,026,800 XOF (4,988.5 USD) with the following recommendations:

Your project proposal outlines a valuable initiative to enhance the digital literacy and information literacy skills of teachers in Benin while utilizing Wikipedia as an educational resource. Here are a few areas where you can improve your project plan:

  • The proposal could benefit from more clearly defined outcomes and goals. Instead of phrases like "improve their research skills," specify measurable objectives. For example, you could set targets for the number of Wikipedia articles edited by the teachers or the percentage of teachers who successfully integrate Wikipedia into their teaching. This will make it easier to evaluate the project's success.
  • While the proposal mentions that you have contacted teachers in Djougou and plan to maintain contact, it would be good to have an engagement strategy. How will you keep them engaged during and after project? Do you have specific strategies for addressing their concerns or challenges?
  • It's important to consider potential risks and challenges that could arise during the project. For example, you've mentioned that learners in primary and secondary schools are not allowed to possess digital devices, which could pose a challenge. In your risk mitigation plan, you can share how you plan to work within these constraints or seek permissions if needed.

Overall, your project has great potential, and the community welcomes it. In addressing these points shared, you create a more robust and effective project implementation with good learnings for future work too. Wishing you success!
