  • Support Support First of all on my own view on the project the project is relevant and need to be implemented as soon as possible if we look at what the project is triying to provide, to me we should not consider the amount they demand we should focus on what the impact that the project is trying to provide which is essential so to me the budget is okay because the project will occupy the Northern States of Nigeria which will cost a lot, i was supporting this project 100 percent.Aubulama00 (talk) 16:06, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not funded[edit]

Hello SaadMuhammad070,

Thank you for submitting your grant application. We appreciate your interest in contributing to the mission of the Wikimedia Movement. We are continuously strengthening our grants review process, ensuring that grant funding is being invested towards impactful projects and efforts geared towards contributing to the mission of Wikimedia Movement in the most efficient and effective manner.

After a thorough review of your application, we have decided to not fund your Rapid Fund request. Here are the main reasons for our decision:

  • We have concerns regarding the team's capacity to organize the series of photowalks. The only experienced Wikimedian in the team is User:SaadMuhammad070. User:Aubulama00 mentioned in the application as an experienced Wikimedian is indefinitely blocked on English Wikipedia for paid editing.
  • The plan behind the photowalks is unclear. Additionally, it's unclear why they want to organize a photowalk with 30 participants if the main goal is to document the zoos.
  • It's unclear what exactly will be documented and how.
  • The idea is that the zoo animal images will be accessible to people from other states of Nigeria. But how these images will be accessible and visible to these viewers is unclear.
  • Proposed budget is unclear.
  • The applicant mentioned that their target communities are Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba communities but there has been no effort to communicate this proposal to them. Additionally, these communities haven't been notified as requested. The applicant didn't consult with NCPUG group before proposing this grant either.
