Partially Funded[edit]

Hello Lomoraronad, thank you for applying for the rapid fund grant. We reviewed and approved the grant in the amount of 1,128,667 SSP (1,650.00 USD) with the following comments;

  • Please make sure to create a user page for the username associated with this application.
  • We recommend the team reviews the budget line items related to prizes and awards
  • The grant application provides a comprehensive overview of the competition and its objectives, it would be beneficial for the team to share some details regarding tangible outcomes expected,  beyond increasing the documentation of cultural heritage monuments. Think of how the improved representation of these monuments will benefit the local communities, educational institutions, and cultural organisations in South Sudan?Also, please share any initial thoughts the team has regarding sustaining the momentum of engagement and contribution after the campaign ends. This could involve discussing strategies for maintaining active participation from photographers, editors, and other stakeholders in Wikimedia projects related to cultural heritage beyond the competition's timeframe.
  • Do document and include in your final report what kinds of feedback was received from the participants regarding a) the training style and b) their interest in continuing to use what they have learned from this training and finally c) what the potential barriers are to participants using what they have learned from this training. It would be especially helpful to know what participants surface as most beneficial from their engagements with the Romanian community and vice versa.
