Endorsment from —Gwanki✉️[edit]

This program is very important, especially in educating Wikipedia and give awareness to students about what Wikipedia means with Anyone can edit. Many people in our communities didn't believe in Wikipedia because they think anyone can edit and add whatever he wants. I am one of the Facilitators, as a experienced Wikimedian I will try my best to make the program effectively. I Strong support this project --—Gwanki✉️ 05:09, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Excellent[edit]

I offer my highest recommendation for this project to be considered. The Institution community, with the acceptance of this proposal by Wikimedia Foundation, will unequivocally launch a formidable structure in the hub of Wikipedia's projects, especially with the creation of a club to sustain the project beyond the timelines of the proposal. Funded[edit]

Hello Bembety, thank you for applying for the rapid fund grant. We reviewed and approved the grant in the amount of 1,384,672 NGN (1,863 USD) with the following comment;

  • We recommend that the team review and adjust the budget costs related to internet subscription and renting of equipment.
  • If implemented effectively, the learnings from this project could be beneficial to the Hausa community more broadly. We request that the team documents what is learned in the process of implementing this project. What worked, what did not work, but especially what kinds of feedback was received from the participants regarding a) the training style and b) their interest in continuing to use what they have learned from this training and finally c) what the potential barriers are to participants using what they have learned from this training. Good luck!

Best regards, (On behalf of the Middle East and Africa regional funds team) ~~~~ YPam (WMF) (talk) 09:44, 29 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request Extension[edit]

Good day YPam My project was originally expected to commence last month. However, due to a delay in the delivery of funds caused by technical issues, the money only arrived two days ago, thereby postponing the project's starting date. In light of this, I am kindly requesting an extension for the project to begin on the 15th of this month, October. This extension will enable us to properly plan and ensure a successful delivery. Bembety (talk) 19:49, 6 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Bembety . thank you for confirming your receipt of funds. Good to learn that the technical hitches have been resolved. Regarding your project start date, because the grant agreement has already been signed, the start date cannot be changed. An extension to your project end date is possible instead. As the project will begin exactly one month later, the new project end date will now be December 17, 2023. Please confirm that this works and we can update the end dates to reflect. Thank you. w:en:Wikipedia:OABOT[edit]

I see you plan to make new users edit Wikipedia. Have you considered making them start with some assisted editing? For example OAbot is a tool to quickly edit references. It's educational on multiple fronts (templates, reliable sources, systemic bias, copyright) and can make the participants feel some sense of accomplishment quite quickly. PubMed and PubMedCentral are often involved, giving an obvious medical angle. Nemo 20:22, 20 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
