Sustainability[edit]

Universities are place where vibrant youths that can contribute to open knowledge can be explored. Looking at the ancient university of Bayero with hundreds of students, it became imperative that a training here would contribute more to Wikimedia Foundation projects. Therefore, the sustainability of the project is in creating a community that would continue to edit long after the project. Ibjaja055 (talk) 20:01, 22 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Strengthening Wikipedia’s Credibility[edit]

Some individuals are questioning Wikipedia's integrity; this project will highlight the significance of verifiability in Wikipedia articles, train participants on how to cite references for their edits, demonstrating how articles should rely on credible sources to substantiate their edits on Wikipedia. Not Funded[edit]

Hello @Abike25 thank you for applying for the rapid fund grant. We reviewed your application and after a careful review, have decided to not fund this application at this time, the reason being that the team does not have sufficient demonstrable experience on the projects you are seeking to impact. We strongly recommend that the team seeks a micro-grant from the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria, where the necessary support might best be provided.

Best regards, (On behalf of the Middle East and Africa regional funds team) ~~~~ YPam (WMF) (talk) 14:02, 26 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
