Achievable Project[edit]

Strong support Strong support There is not doubt that this project aims to create awareness of Wikimedia in an area that has institutions of learning that are yet to discover the true nature of Wikipedia-opened to contributions of all and sundry while abiding by the policies and guidelines of Wikipedia, hence the giving the significance of this project; it will create an avenue of training enthusiastic individuals and students to contribute credible, noticeable and relatable contents to the sum of the world knowledge. On the other hand, the project lead is a project planner and executor who has been making impacts in the project area. Having known his capacity and enthusiastic mind, I have no doubt that the project, if granted, will be delivered beyond expectation. This proposal is well crafted and well put. I like the clarity of the budget, the in-depth coverage of the proposal needs, and the important of all, the facilitators deployed in this proposal; they are well-experienced and skillful Wikipedia editors that have been bridging knowledge gap for long in the Northeastern part of Nigeria. Also, as a participant of Organizer Lab V2, my experience will be made applied to this project as I will help as a facilitator. As a passionate and knowledge-gap-bridging Wikimedian, this project deserves my endorsement and support. Without doubt, this project is achievable. #Yahuzaishat (talk) 01:43, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Impact of the project[edit]

Having previously worked with the project lead before. I can testify to his ability to carry out the project successfully. Also, I have the following comments; The project would not only promote the active participation of Billiri community in the Northern region but also motivate them to do more.

The project lead is a key factor of the community and he is going to create awareness among the writing groups of the community. This would go a long way to guide them in contributing to the Wikimedia foundation project. Abdulazeez Taufeeq (talk) 16:03, 30 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Sustainability[edit]

One of the problems that the project faced was how to sustain its process. Since the project lead is part of the Communit and the integration and sustainability process has been addressed by creating a community group that will continue to edit after the project's timeline. Therefore, I endorse the project. Ibjaja055 (talk) 13:13, 11 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Not Funded[edit]

Hello @Thinkrasheed thank you for applying for the rapid fund grant. We reviewed your grant application and decided to not fund your application at this time. We encourage the team to refrain from submittal duplicate applications as it does not portray the team in good light. This is especially because this application is almost identical to these other applications—> Wikimedia Awareness in Dukku, Wikimedia Awareness in Medical College, GSU.

The projects are similar, meant to be implemented in the same state in Nigeria and by overlapping team members. We encourage coordination and collaboration and as such, recommend that the team reaches out to the Hausa Wikimedians user group in future to ensure that you are able to receive the right level of support and guidance that may be required.

Best regards, (On behalf of the Middle East and Africa regional funds team) ~~~~ YPam (WMF) (talk) 11:49, 13 December 2023 (UTC)ReplyReply
