Endorsment from Uncle Bash007 (talk)[edit]

This proposal is specially important to our community where women are left behind and rarely given the equal responsibilities with men. It will surely motivate women in getting more involved, more especially in Wikipedia activities and projects.

Wikipedia campaign for equal rights will have a great significant impact in breaking down barriers and promoting diversity and inclusion particularly LGBT related articles

Not Funded[edit]

Hello Aliyu shaba, thank you for applying for the rapid fund grant. We reviewed and have decided to not fund this application currently and recommend the team spends some time building a strong project planfor the following reasons.

  •   The proposal highlights the importance of equal rights and inclusion, yet does not provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges or barriers that individuals from LGBTQ communities might face in the targeted communities. It will be important for the team to elaborate on any potential pushback, resistance, or discriminatory attitudes that could hinder the success of your project. Outline strategies or contingency plans to ensure the safety and participation of LGBTQ participants, and how you plan to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for them. By acknowledging and addressing this concern head-on, you'll demonstrate a deeper understanding of the environment and your commitment to promoting equal rights..
  • The application also highlights a focus on involving participants from underrepresented communities, particularly in the area of Gender Identity. However, no specific details are provided about how you plan to engage and include these communities effectively. There are no details regarding how you intend to create a safe and welcoming space for them to participate, share their experiences, and contribute to the project. Mention any partnerships, forums, or channels you'll use to connect with these communities and ensure their voices are heard. Providing a well-defined approach to engaging underrepresented communities will strengthen the impact of your project and demonstrate your commitment to inclusivity.
