Hi Abubakar A Gwanki, thanks for submitting this Rapid Grant request. We are glad that you plan to run the WikiForHumanRights in the Hausa community. After reviewing your proposal, I have some questions and requests that I'd like you to address:

  • Please review and respond to question #2 about the community notifications.
  • The link for the Risk Assessment Tool that you provided is not correct. You have edited the original document; please kindly make a copy of the original document and then complete it with your project’s information. After following the instructions, please update the link on the application.
  • Please provide a more detailed budget, including more information about the proposed expenses, number of units, and unit prices.
  • How many in-person events do you plan to run in terms of this project?
  • Given the scope of this project, we think that the prize budget of 800 USD is too high. Please lower this budget; 400 USD is the maximum amount we will fund for the project prizes. Kindly make the requested changes and update the total requested budget.
  • Do you have any past experience in leading similar initiatives?
  • You mentioned that you plan to invite a human rights expert to give a speech at the workshop. Who is this expert and how are you going to reach out to this person?

Looking forward to your response. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 13:52, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Abubakar A Gwanki, thanks for your response. I have an additional question.
  • The "Hall" expense (250 USD) is higher from what we usually fund for similar grants from Nigeria. Could you provide more details about this item and explain why you request 250 USD for the venue, given that you will run 1 event with 20 participants? Otherwise, please reduce this expense by half.
Thank you, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 11:06, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi DSaroyan (WMF) thanks for your question.

250usd is exactly right because it will be held in the city of Kaduna. And the hall is full of computes, so we don't need to ask for money to rent computers.

Thank you, best regards - Abubakar A Gwanki (talk) 08:37, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
