Hello Tochiprecious, and thanks for your report on your meetup activities in Anambra State in Nigeria. I am accepting this report with the following questions:

  • Can you tell us more about the people who participated in these trainings and edit-a-thon? Are some of them interested in participating in the planned edit-a-thon in Anambra?
  • What sort information was provided in the training? What skills were taught?
  • What were the outcomes from the edit-a-thon planned for this project? Were any articles created or improved?
  • Thank you for letting us know that you have received recognition from your local government, and that these sorts of gatherings and training are both 1) increasing the visibility of the Igbo Wikimedians User Group and 2) resulting in interest at events and seminars to educate your community about Wikimedia projects and invite participation.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks very much for your outreach and community engagement work in Anambra State. :) I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 17:36, 28 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello I JethroBT (WMF), thank you for reviewing and accepting our report. I'm sorry for the late response; I'm in an out of coverage area.

  • Yes most of them are interested in participating in the planned edit-a-thon in Anambra. This is as a result of their interest. They bugged me a lot last year to have an edit a thon in December. Also, OnyinyeOnuoha was one of the participants we trained during the Wikimedia Youth Strategy Salon hosted in Anambra last year and she has since picked interest.
  • Aside creating more awareness in Onitsha, Anambra State, yes Articles were improved and translated too for example: (Chet Anekwe, Chika Anadu etc.)

Thank you very much for all your support. It's sincerely appreciated. Tochiprecious (talk) 18:23, 02 March 2020 (WAT)
